Yamazaki

The Construction of Yamazaki Distillery, the first and oldest malt whisky distillery in Japan began in 1923. 

Located on the outskirts of Kyoto, with Mount Tenno Behind to it north, Yamazaki is Surrounded by a rich and unique nature throughout the four seasons of the year, having a damp climate ideal for  whisky maturation. 

The Founder Shinjiro Torii ambition to "Create a high quality whisky that reflects the nature of Japan and the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship" has been passed down for generations, and the craftsmen to date utilizes their five sense to create a genuine whisky.
